Phase 2 Teaching Practice: Week 7 Summary

The most interesting part of this week was innovative lesson. The love was overwhelming as kids knew we are leaving. Showing their art to hugs to self made gifts... Saturday was also working. And it was our Yoga day as we got 3hours for physical education training. Hm.. What to say.. Love to all.. Microteaching is a technique aiming to prepare teacher candidates to the real classroom setting . Microteaching can also defined as a teaching technique especially used in teachers’ pre-service education to train them systematically by allowing them to experiment main teacher behaviors. By the help of this technique, teacher candidates can experiment and learn each of the teaching skills by breaking them into smaller parts and without encountering chaotic environment of the crowded classes. It is also called scaled down technique as it is limit time, no of concepts, and no of students. It has the following cycle. Phases of microteaching is given below We practiced microteaching in the class. I chose reinforcement and blackboard writing as skills. Micro teaching on Periodic Trends . Skill focused is reinforcemet Microteaching on Bohr's Model of atom . Skill focussed is blackboard writing Microteaching is followed by link practice before going to actual classroom situation.

The elephant in the room !

Every B.Ed student irrespective of their college, option, or the university is forced to stay alert in this phase! yes, it is attending 'the commission'. So here we go..Hoping for having fun with the elephant while repecting it's immense power and greatness! Hope the elephant would love us too!! Prepared lesson on Periodic Table using Advance organizer model. Last time in teaching practice I used the same instructional strategy for my innovative lesson with a twist in it. This time further modifying it with ICT. for the third phase strengthening the cognitive structure, I'm using a cognitive map.  Considering school's plan chart and a pointer to carry along with as power issues might arise.  DO YOU WANT TO SEE MY ADVANCE ORGANIZER(SCHOOL'S PLAN) AND COGNITIVE MAP ON THE STRUCTURE OF PERIODIC TABLE? 😎
