RACE: Radiant Addition to Common Education

I never felt that I could be a good teacher. Might be because all my teachers were too good or the best!  Whenever I stepped in the classroom as a teacher, especially in Guest lecturer days in Alphonsa Palai, I had this anxiety ruling my head. a 23year old girl was not matured to handle  bunch of students younger to her just by an year. I'm 31 today, Still I'm having the butterflies in my tummy while addressing a class!. I always tried to run away from this costume as far as possible, and the responsibility it offers was heavy for me.  but finally my destiny took me here.. Thanks to all my teachers- Leena teacher, sumayya teacher, Radha teacher, Jisha teacher, Jasmine teacher, Moniyamma teacher, Rosamma teacher... how simple they were!.. it's true that I was trying to imitate them, blindly; hoping that I would be like them one day..  Will be missing you my children. First time putting hands in experimental psychology- Excited! It was 8B , I chose for conducting sociometry. I was curious about the social relations in the class, as none was less than anyone. They are my personal favorites. I was expecting Prajin and Achyuth to be the stars. From girls side, I felt it would be SaiDurga. 10/01/22-15/01/22 The week began with Achievement test in 9B. The questions were prepared in English hence translated to malayalam. It was of 20 marks. Prepared test for 8B as well. Student's performance were amazing as expected. Online and offline classes are making my schedule a bit hectic. Making videos on current electricity for offline classes.Same was compiled with narration and uploaded in youtube for those who cant attend classes synchronously.12th was fully dedicated to conscientization programmes. talking about gender equality is always happiness. Though it was limited to first two hours , kids followed me with their doubts to stadffroom. Drawing ray diagrams were not so easy for kids. Majority of the afternoon sessions are dedicated to eco club's paper bag challenge . It's hectic but fun, I must say! PS: It was SFI's strike on 11th, took the opportunity to clean the school.

Today on 12th Jan 2022 by assisting Suma teacher of physical science in the ECO club's paper bag making program learned something new! The ECO club earns money by selling these handmade eco-friendly bags for five rupees per bag within the school premises. let's watch the video!

 When they don't permit to take the class, then clean the class! It was my first experience of the education strike as a teacher. Though we couldn't teach anything, we could do much more. We cleaned our trainee teachers' room where rice had been kept for a week. And the afternoon was spent well for organising lab.  Neither science student nor science teacher ever could enter lab without excitement. See what I got... School reopened! Im worried about 8C2. It was their first class in this week. I guess the model worked well. Not feeling guilty for taking Chakku's ball for the purpose.Compared to 8A2 these kids are easy to handle. Neha and Sreehari are the smart kids in this class. In 8A2 I used my innovative model as the samagra's video on first law of reflection wasn't good. But even with mobile torch it worked well. Trying to bring a laser pointer so hard, in TVM it is banned. I hope I could make a small video using the pointer and give it in their WhatsApp group. In 8B1, chapter is almost completed. Kids are too much excited for experiments. Mere sight of testtubes keep them happy. I carried aids used in previous lessons to remind them the topic, after vacation kids are lost. Another important event happened this week was Liby teacher's visit. It was just after Achievement test in 9C1, hence responses were too good.
